Labor Day weekend brings the 42nd annual Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon to help kids with Muscular Dystrophy. As always, a slew of performers are lined up to help raise money on the telethon which starts Sunday at 9 p.m. and continues until Monday at 6:30 p.m.
But before that, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and the Broward Sheriff's Fire Rescue Department will team up to raise money for MDA. Firefighters will be out at major intersections throughout South Florida asking you to "Fill The Boot" for MDA. Donations go to reserch, family support counseling programs, wheelchairs & communication devices. Try to remember to keep a buck handy in the car - or skip the vending machine today and use the money for a donation instead.
Thanks!
9/4/07 - Hey, just to let you know - the MDA Telethon set another new record for money raised to help Jerry's Kids - $67.3 Million. Way to go!
