It's a favorite American pastime - grilling on a holiday.
Unfortunately, some people don't follow safety guidelines and too often, someone gets injured.
Here are some things to remember before you fire it up:
1. Designate the grilling area a "No Play Zone" keeping kids and pets well away until grill equipment is completely cool.
2. Before using, position your grill at least 3 feet away from other objects, including the house and any shrubs or bushes.
3. Only use starter fluid made for barbecue grills when starting a fire in a charcoal grill.
Here are more tips for a safe holiday.
