Anyone who's watched "Meet the Press" in the past 17 years, or seen presidential debates in the last few elections, knows that Tim Russert was one of the few truly non-partisan journalists and moderators on television.
Tim died of an apparent heart attack this afternoon - he was only 58.
I will greatly miss his intelligence and reason in political reporting and interviewing.
His colleagues talk about his great love of his family, which was apparent in his book, 'Big Russ and Me' about his relationship with his father. Ironically it seems like a special gift in light of Father's Day this weekend.
