Summer: Camp or Job?

If money's tight because of the economy (what's it cost to fill your gas tank now?), this might be the year for the kids to earn some money of their own instead of spending yours.

The Minority Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Part Time Job Fair today from 2 - 7 p.m. at The Mall of the Americas, at 79th Avenue & Flagler. It's an easy and efficient way for studetns to meet representatives and community employers hiring for part-time jobs, internship positions and volunteer opportunities.

Of course, if you're kids are too young to work, keep in mind that many local communities have free or low-cost summer camps. Check with your city's Parks & Recreation Department.
