    Rod's new clothes

Rod Stewart doesn't design them, but his song titles and lyrics grace them ... a line of clothes and accessories. Who could resist a baby bib that says "You're In My Heart, You're In My Soul"? Or a t-shirt that says "You Wear it Well". I'd just want to be careful about where I wear the "Tonight's The Night' design - probably not ideal for a first date!

    Midlife: balanced, miraculous

Most of us associate the word "midlife" with the word "crisis". But Marianne Williamson has a 'new and improved' way of looking at it in her latest book, "The Age of Miracles: Embracing the New Midlife".

As you'll hear in her interview with Liz Sterling on this Sunday's edition of Be You Radio on LITE FM, midlife doesn't have to be an endpoint where joyous experiences are a thing of the past, only to be looked back on. Rather, it's a new beginning, an opportunity to re-shape your life and seek out your dreams with the wisdom you can only gain from living the years leading up to this point.

Everyone has their own experience of midlife, and it can be at any age (hey, I had my first mid-life crisis when I was 20!). Just remember, one can be mentally old when they're chronologically young, and vice versa. It's your state of mind that determines how old - or young - you feel and act.

Join me, Liz, Maria Soldani and Susie Levan for the Lite Review on Be You Radio this Sunday morning at 6, in conjunction with the Work-Life Balance Institute for Women and Balance Magazine.

Also, be sure to register for this week's LITE FM Office Stress Break to win your spot on the LITE FM guest list for the 4th Annual Work-Life Balance Educational Conference for Women, April 23rd, with keynote speakers Naomi Judd, Janet Bray Attwood and Bonnie St. John. It's going to be a fantastic day to Be Empowered, Be Inspired and Be Connected. I'll see you there!

    Spring Clean Your Self

What did you have planned for spring cleaning this year? Emptying the garage? Finally clearing out the junk drawer in the kitchen? Throwing up your hands in defeat?

Here's a different angle to try - instead of focusing on the physical cleaning of your house, work on a spiritual cleaning for yourself.

According to Dr. Kathleen Hall, founder of The Stress Institute, stress leaves us depleted of energy. To replenish yourself and make your life more fulfilling, try this version of Spring Cleaning:

    seek out S.P.R.I.N.G. -

    S - Serenity
P - Pause to reflect on life
R - Rituals that make you happy
    I - Intention; re-assess your purpose
    N -Nature
    G - Give to others

    Tennis is Fashionable

Tennis has come a long way from the days when everybody wore unflattering, too-short, white shorts and polos.

Credit the Williams Sisters for taking fashion on the court to a whole new level - sometimes I watch as much to see what they'll be wearing as how well they're playing (I really can't figure out how they can concentrate with those giant earrings, but then I feel constricted just wearing a watch!).

And the guys have followed suit, too. Rafael Nadal's capris, Roger Federer's sophisticated black outfit ...

This year's Sony Ericsson Open on Key Biscayne (now through April 6th), will once again feature the Sony Ericsson Open Fashion Park. Three fashion shows are scheduled throughout the tournament, including the introduction of Venus Williams' clothing line "EleVen". Much like Sara Jessica Parker's "Bitten" line, "EleVen" is also a collection of cute, everyday, reasonably priced clothing and accessories (yes, there's a tennis bracelet), and like "Bitten", it's only available at Steve and Barry's.

Oh - and if you're interested in what's happening on the courts, you can get the daily updates at www.sonyericssonopen.com.
