    Balanced and Strong

    Here's your mid-week Moment of Balance brought to you by the Work-Life Balance Institute for Women and Balance Magazine, helping you to be empowered, be inspired and be connected.

    On this Sunday morning's edition of Be You Radio on LITE FM, we'll talk about how to Be Strong - not just physically, but emotionally.

    Bonnie St. John, one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming Work-Life Balance Educational Conference for Businesswomen on April 23rd, is a beacon of strength - an amputee who's a silver medalist for skiing in the Paralympics. She'll be with us Sunday to share some of her story.

    In the meantime, when you're faced with your own challenges, here are a few things to do:

    1. Remind yourself of other difficult situations you've been in and how you conquered them.

    2. Ask yourself how much this will matter in 10 years ... 5 years ... or even in a week. Sometimes in the middle of a challenge, it seems more important than it will be in the big picture.

    3. Trust your instincts. Think of times when you've made a decision despite what you felt in your gut - and later found out your first instinct was correct.
